Section OneWho we are

SportyPreneurs Community FZCO (“SportyPreneurs”, “we”, “us”) operates this website and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy as the data controller. We are a Dubai, United Arab Emirates free zone company, licensed by the Dubai World Trade Centre Authority under licence L-4974.

Registered address: Premises No. 4.07-COW5-264, Floor 04, Sheikh Rashid Tower, Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

This policy is specific to SportyPreneurs. It covers this website, membership applications and related membership or partnership enquiries. Our handling of personal data is subject to the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, where applicable, and any other mandatory data protection law that applies to the processing.

If we introduce new services with different data uses, such as member accounts or payments, we will provide the relevant privacy information before collecting that information. This policy does not itself authorise a transfer of records previously collected by another company; any such change must follow the applicable notice, consent and other legal requirements.

Section TwoWhat we collect

• Identity and contact details — first and last name, work email, mobile number, country of residence and city.
• Business details — company, job title, website, optional LinkedIn profile, whether you own the business and the annual company revenue range you select.
• Membership interests — how you heard about us, whether a member referred you, and optional answers about the value you seek and the sports you play.
• Enquiries and administration — messages you send, our replies, application review notes, your consent and the policy version presented when you apply.
• Technical data — hosting, form and external content providers receive information needed to handle requests, which can include IP address, browser and device details, request time and referring page. With your permission, Google Analytics also measures visits and interactions as explained in Section Eight.

Required fields are marked on the application. Without them, we may be unable to assess or respond to your application. Optional answers are your choice.

Section ThreeWhy we collect it

• Review and respond to applications — assess membership fit through human review, contact you about the outcome and arrange relevant introductions or an introductory conversation.
• Manage enquiries and membership administration — respond to messages, maintain relevant records and provide services you request.
• Operate and protect the website — deliver pages, process submissions, prevent spam and investigate technical problems.
• Understand website use — measure page visits, engagement and application progress through optional analytics, and use aggregated application information to plan the club.

We request your consent to use the application information to assess your membership and contact you about it. Optional analytics has a separate opt-in. You may withdraw consent by contacting us, or change your analytics choice through Cookie settings. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing; withdrawing application consent may prevent us from continuing an assessment.

Where applicable law permits processing without consent, we may rely on the relevant legal ground, such as steps necessary at your request to enter into or perform a contract, or compliance with a legal obligation. We use that ground only for the relevant purpose and to the extent the law allows.

Applications are reviewed by people; we do not make solely automated membership decisions. Applying does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing. We will seek separate permission where required before sending it.

Section FourServices & international processing

We use the services below to operate this website and receive applications. Their infrastructure and support arrangements can involve processing outside the UAE and outside your country of residence. We do not represent that all website data stays in the UAE.

International transfers must meet the requirements of applicable data protection law, including an appropriate transfer ground and safeguards where required. Contact us before submitting if you need details of a processing location or the safeguards relevant to your information. We will explain the arrangements relevant to your information and any limitations on the location details available from our providers.

Section FiveWho receives your information

Application notifications are routed through FormSubmit to admin@lifeintelligencegroup.com, with copies to bernard@sportypreneurs.com and jamie@sportypreneurs.com. These are the designated administration and review recipients for SportyPreneurs applications. We limit access and use to authorised people who need the information for the purposes in this policy.

• Service providers — the providers described above handle relevant information to supply their services. Some also process technical information for their own service security or other purposes explained in their policies.
• Other members and partners — we do not sell application information or share it with sponsors for their marketing. We ask before sharing your application details for introductions. If you request a referral check, we may confirm the referral with the member without sharing the rest of your application.
• Legal requirements — we may disclose information to authorities or professional advisers when necessary to meet a legal obligation, respond to a lawful request, or establish or defend a legal claim, as applicable law permits.

Links to external websites take you to services governed by their own privacy policies. This includes any email service you use to contact us.

Section SixHow long we keep it

• Unsuccessful or discontinued applications — our retention period is twelve months after the outcome or closure, then deletion of application records under our control.
• Successful applications — the membership record is kept for the membership period and two years afterwards.
• Other enquiries — retained while needed to resolve the enquiry and for up to twelve months afterwards, unless it becomes part of an ongoing membership or a record that must be retained by law.
• FormSubmit archive — FormSubmit states that submissions are retained for thirty days. Email copies follow the relevant periods above.
• Analytics and technical records — retention depends on the service’s applicable settings and operational requirements. Contact us for the retention details relevant to a particular record. Our browser record of your cookie choice expires after 180 days.

Records may need to be retained longer to comply with law, resolve a dispute or defend a claim. Deletion from backup systems may occur through their normal replacement cycle; retained backups should not be used for new purposes. You can request earlier deletion, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

Section SevenYour rights & choices

Subject to the law that applies and its exceptions, you may ask to:

• Obtain information about our processing and access or receive a copy of your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Delete information, restrict or stop processing, or object to a use where the applicable law provides that right.
• Receive or transfer data in a portable format where applicable.
• Withdraw consent at any time, including rejecting analytics through Cookie settings.
• Request human review of a decision where applicable automated decision rights arise.

Email membership@sportypreneurs.com with your request. We may ask for proportionate identity verification to avoid disclosing data to the wrong person. We aim to respond within thirty days and will follow any applicable statutory timeframe, explaining any lawful restriction or extension.

You may also complain to the competent data protection authority, including the UAE Data Office where applicable, or another authority with jurisdiction over your information. You can raise a concern with us first without giving up that right.

Section EightCookies & analytics

Analytics is off until you accept it. You can accept or reject Google Analytics in the cookie banner. Your choice is separate from application consent, and the form works if you reject analytics. The website stores your preference in your browser’s local storage for 180 days. If storage is unavailable, the choice may need to be made again on another page.

If you accept, Google Analytics 4 may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visits. It measures page views, device and browser information, approximate location and interactions such as section views, link clicks, form engagement and submission status. A completed-application event can include the selected country, referral source and whether you were referred. We do not send your name, email, phone, company name, company revenue or free-text answers as analytics event fields.

Google handles network and location information under its own policies; we do not describe analytics records as fully anonymous. Our website configuration disables Google Signals and advertising personalisation signals.

to change your choice at any time. Rejecting after acceptance stops further analytics collection on this website and removes accessible first-party Google Analytics cookies. It does not automatically erase data already sent to Google; contact us about a deletion request. You can also manage cookies and website storage in your browser.

Hosting, external fonts, images and the submission provider still receive the technical requests needed to provide their services. The analytics preference does not block those requests. See Section Four for the providers.

Section NineSecurity

The live website uses HTTPS, including for submissions to FormSubmit. We limit use of application information to the membership and administration purposes described here, and rely on our hosting, submission and email providers’ security measures for their systems. No internet service can guarantee complete security.

Where a personal data breach occurs, we will assess it and notify the relevant authority and affected people where applicable law requires.

Section TenContact us & policy updates

We will update this policy when our practices change and show the effective date above. For material changes affecting information already collected, we will provide appropriate notice and seek further consent where required.
